Ed Stainless‘ stainless steel 202 coils consist of about 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 7.5–10% manganese, along with controlled levels of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus. This austenitic alloy provides a fair combination of mechanical and corrosion-resistant characteristics. It provides a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 275 MPa, with an elongation ratio of about 40% and a Brinell hardness of 210 HB. These characteristics find SS 202 useful for applications that demand modest strength, very good formability, and consistent performance in mildly corrosive conditions.
