Ed Stainless Stainless Steel 416 nuts contain mostly iron, with 12-14% chromium, 0.15% carbon, and trace levels of manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. This alloy offers superior corrosion resistance along with good machinability. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of about 700 MPa and yield strength of about 450 MPa, and good hardness and toughness. Nuts have moderate corrosion resistance, suitable for use in moderately corrosive environments. Ed Stainless guarantees these mechanical and compositional specifications for consistent performance in demanding applications.
