ED Stainless provides AWS Class ER316/316L SAW wire and flux for submerged arc welding tasks that need great corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-rich environments. Known for its superior weld quality and low carbon content, this combination works well in piping systems, tanks, and structural applications in the chemical and marine fields. ER316/316L performs wonderfully in corrosive and moist conditions, while the compatible flux ensures stable arcs and clean weld edges. ED Stainless is dedicated to quality assurance and timely delivery, making us a reliable partner for stainless steel welding supplies across important industries.
ER316/316L wire contains 18–20% Chromium, 11–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and ≤0.03% Carbon (in 316L). It achieves a tensile strength of about 540–580 MPa with excellent elongation and weld toughness. The addition of Molybdenum improves resistance to pitting, particularly in saltwater or acidic environments. Combined with SAW flux, this filler creates smooth welds with strong mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. The low-carbon version helps prevent intergranular corrosion, making it ideal for structures that are welded without needing post-weld heat treatment.
