Ed Stainless supplies EP (Electropolished) Fittings in Houston, USA, with high-purity solutions designed to meet critical process industries. Our EP fittings, which come in many different types like tees, elbows, reducers, and unions, are suitable for high-sanitation use where cleanliness and precision are crucial. Made from SS 316L and finished according to ASME BPE and 3A specifications, these fittings are subjected to sophisticated electropolishing to create a smooth, contamination-proof interior surface. Ed Stainless guarantees close tolerances, traceability, and superior surface finish, making our EP fittings the industry’s preferred choice for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and food-grade process plants.
EP Fittings are manufactured from Stainless Steel 316L, providing corrosion resistance by a composition of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. They normally provide tensile strength of 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa, along with elongation greater than 40%. The electropolished finish provides a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.38 μm, minimizing the risk of product buildup and microbiological contamination. These fittings also provide exceptional weldability and are suitable for orbital welding. They meet industry-specific mechanical and sanitary requirements and thus find ideal applications in cleanroom and aseptic processing environments.

EP fittings are components made from electroplated steel or stainless steel, offering enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. They are used in plumbing, industrial, and harsh environmental applications for reliable connections.
SS EP welded fittings are stainless steel fittings with an electroplated coating, providing enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. They are welded into place, ensuring strong, reliable connections in various applications.
Stainless steel EP clamps are corrosion-resistant, electroplated clamps used to secure hoses, pipes, or tubing. They offer durability and strength in harsh environments, ensuring reliable, long-lasting connections.
SS EP return bends are stainless steel, electroplated bends designed to change the direction of pipes or tubing. They provide corrosion resistance and durability, ensuring reliable performance in various industrial applications.
Stainless steel seamless EP fittings are corrosion-resistant components with an electroplated finish, offering durability and strength. They provide smooth, continuous connections without welds, ideal for high-pressure and harsh environments.
SS EP unions are stainless steel, electroplated connectors designed to join two pipes or tubes. They provide a durable, corrosion-resistant solution with a secure, easily detachable coupling for maintenance or replacement.
EP Fittings are critical elements in applications with diverse ultra-clean operations like pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food and beverages, and microelectronic production. EP Fittings are applied in fluid transport systems where very clean conditions and limited shedding of particles are essential. Some of the typical applications are fermentation lines, bioreactors, sterile water networks, and pharmaceutical preparations. Their smooth inner finish accommodates CIP and SIP processes. Ed Stainless offers a comprehensive line of EP fittings, weld, clamp, and threaded ends to provide overall system integration with product purity and regulatory compliance.
