Ed Stainless offers top-quality EP (Electropolished) Reducers in Houston, USA, designed to be used in high-purity process systems with high requirements for cleanliness and corrosion resistance. The EP reducers are offered in both concentric and eccentric styles and are electropolished for severe ASME BPE and FDA hygienic applications. The extremely smooth internal surface reduces the risk of contamination and aids easy cleaning. Made out of high-grade stainless steel, Ed Stainless EP reducers provide reliable performance in biopharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic applications, where system purity and precision flow control are required.
EP Reducers are frequently made up of Stainless Steel 316L, with 16–18% Cr, 10–14% Ni and 2–3 % Mo for improved resistance to pitting. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of about 170 MPa, and high ductility and toughness. Surface roughness is reduced to Ra ≤ 0.38 µm through electropolishing, resulting in a passivated and easy-to-clean surface. Not only is this finish resistant to corrosion, but also the formation of contaminants and biofilm is reduced to a minimum, so reducers are well suited for hygienic and sterile flow systems.

We ensures that all the EP reducers undergo stringent testing and certification procedures. Products go through detailed quality checks in pressure, temperature, and dimensional tests to ensure that the product is reliable and works properly. Industry-approved standards are issued on every EP reducer to ensure durability and global specifications compliance.
SS EP reducers are stainless steel fittings with an electroplated finish, designed to transition between pipes of different diameters. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and seamless flow management.
Stainless Steel Welded EP Reducer is a fitting with an electroplated finish and welded construction, used to connect pipes of different diameters. It provides superior corrosion resistance and durability.
SS EP reducers are stainless steel fittings with an electroplated finish, designed to connect pipes of varying diameters. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and smooth transitions for efficient fluid flow.
SS EP concentric reducer is a stainless steel fitting with an electroplated finish, designed to connect pipes of different diameters concentrically. It ensures smooth, efficient transitions and excellent corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel EP eccentric reducer is a fitting with an electroplated finish, designed to connect pipes of different diameters with an offset. It provides smooth transitions, excellent corrosion resistance, and durability.
SS electropolished reducers are stainless steel fittings with a smooth, polished surface. They transition between pipes of different diameters, offering superior corrosion resistance, durability, and a clean, high-quality finish.
EP Reducers are extensively employed in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology facilities, food processing, and ultrapure water systems. They provide smooth transition between two pipe sizes while ensuring system sterility and flow quality. Concentric reducers are suited for vertical pipes, whereas eccentric reducers are used in horizontal systems to avoid air entrapment. They play a critical role in CIP/SIP systems, mix tanks, and cleanrooms where bacterial control and fluid integrity are of utmost concern. Reducers from Ed Stainless come with traceable documentation and a range of end types (butt weld, clamp, threaded) that satisfy the hygienic requirements of FDA and USP Class VI-certified facilities.
