Stainless Steel 446 stud bolts produced by ED Stainless are mostly made of iron with high chromium levels (23–27%) and low carbon content, giving them strong resistance against oxidation and scaling at high temperatures. The stud bolts have a tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. The alloy is also found in small quantities of molybdenum, silicon, and manganese, which add to its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
