Ed Stainless proudly offers AWS Class ER316LSi MIG and TIG filler welding wire and rod, designed to meet strict industrial welding needs. Produced in Houston, USA, this high-quality filler metal combines excellent corrosion resistance with reliable weld strength. Widely verified and certified, ER316LSi works for both MIG and TIG processes, making it versatile across various applications. Known for its great arc performance and smooth bead appearance, this consumable is popular among fabricators in tough environments. Whether used in food processing, chemical handling, or marine equipment, Ed Stainless ensures consistent quality, timely delivery, and expert technical support tailored to your welding needs.
The ER316LSi filler metal contains 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, ≤0.03% carbon, and a high silicon content of 0.65–1.0%. This mix guarantees excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular attack. With a tensile strength of at least 75 ksi and a yield strength of 57 ksi, it maintains an elongation of 30% or more. The added silicon improves arc stability, creates smooth fluid weld beads, and reduces spatter. These mechanical properties ensure reliable joint strength and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for tough service conditions.
