ED Stainless in Houston produces high-quality AWS Class ER410NiMo MIG and TIG filler wire and rod. Using cutting-edge melting and refining techniques, they create a nickel-grade martensitic stainless filler alloy known for its strength and corrosion resistance. Located in Houston, the company combines local inventory with nationwide distribution. Their ER410NiMo range supports industries needing high-impact toughness and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. ED Stainless’s products are certified to AWS standards and come with technical support, ensuring welders receive a reliable filler solution for demanding structural and pressure applications.
The ER410NiMo alloy consists of about 11–13% chromium, about 1% nickel, about 0.6% molybdenum, along with manganese and silicon. Carbon is limited to 0.12–0.20% to create a martensitic microstructure. Post-weld tensile strengths range from 85–100 ksi (585–690 MPa), yield strength is 70–85 ksi (480–585 MPa), and elongation is around 15–20%. Hardness after proper heat treatment can reach HRC 30–35. Molybdenum improves pitting resistance, while nickel enhances impact toughness. This filler shows strong resistance to sulfide stress cracking and maintains ductility in harsh conditions.

AWS Class ER410NiMo filler is often used for welding 410 and 416 stainless steels and dissimilar joints with low-alloy steels in hydrogen sulfide-rich environments. It’s commonly applied in oilfield tubulars, pressure vessels, and petrochemical equipment operating in sour gas. It’s also used to manufacture fasteners, shafts, and pumps that need high tensile strength and resistance to sulfide stress cracking. In Houston’s upstream and downstream sectors, it’s used for pipeline weld repair, sour-service valves, and pressure containment systems. For MIG and TIG welding of critical structural components, ER410NiMo provides strong, corrosion-resistant joints, maintaining integrity under load and corrosive conditions.
