Ed Stainless is a prominent distributor of Stainless Steel 415 Bars in Houston, USA, providing high-strength, heat-treatable martensitic stainless bars designed for applications that demand hardness and wear resistance. SS 415 provides a mix of strength and moderate corrosion resistance, and it is ideal for shafts, fasteners, and machine parts. These bars are produced in multiple sizes, finishes, and tolerances to fulfill the requirements of various industries. Made in accordance with ASTM requirements, Ed Stainless attests that every bar is precision machined and heat-treated for reliable mechanical performance under challenging conditions.
Stainless Steel 415 Bar has 12.5–14.5% chromium, 0.5–1% molybdenum, and a greater percentage of carbon (0.05–0.15%) for strength. It is a martensitic steel with excellent hardenability and tensile strength of 620–850 MPa. Its yield strength is typically 450 MPa, and it can be hardened by heat treatment. 415 has better mechanical strength and wear resistance than 410, but with less corrosion resistance. It is magnetic and can be used in mildly corrosive conditions and abrasion or mechanical wear applications.
