AWS Class E347-16 Electrodes contain stainless steel with the composition 19-22% Chromium, 9-12% Nickel, and trace amounts of Silicon, Manganese, and Carbon. The electrodes are particularly used for welding high-carbon stainless steels like 347 and 321 grades. They possess greater intergranular corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. The tensile strength of these electrodes is approximately 600 MPa, with their yield strength around 250 MPa. Their carbide precipitation resistance under heat conditions makes them suitable for welding process involving high-temperature stability and corrosion resistance.
