Ed Stainless provides AWS Class E308/308L-16 Electrodes, which are meant for welding stainless steel grades such as SS304 and SS304L. These electrodes provide superior performance, producing strong, crack-resistant, and corrosion-resistant welds in light and heavy-duty uses. E308/308L-16 electrodes are suitable for welding low carbon stainless steel for easy slag removal and smooth arc stability. Regardless of use in food processing, pharmaceuticals, or chemical industries, they provide high-quality, long-lasting welds that can handle corrosive conditions and elevated temperatures, making them the preferred choice for most welding professionals.
AWS Class E308/308L-16 Electrodes are formulated from 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel stainless steel alloys along with minute additions of Manganese, Silicon, and Carbon. The electrodes offer tensile strength of around 550-700 MPa, and yield strength of about 205 MPa. The low carbon in the “L” grade minimizes precipitation of carbides, and thus the electrodes are suitable for welding stainless steel in corrosive environments. The resulting welds are resistant to corrosion, oxidation, and cracking even at high temperatures. High arc stability and simple slag removal guarantee quality output in many welding applications.
