Standard composition consists of chromium (11.5–13.5%), carbon (≤0.08%), manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur in controlled quantities. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%.
