Stainless Steel 17-7 PH contains 17% Chromium, 7% Nickel, with around 1% Aluminum and small amounts of Carbon and Manganese. After precipitation hardening, it can reach tensile strength up to 1300 MPa and yield strength over 1100 MPa. It has excellent fatigue resistance, good ductility, and minimal distortion after heat treatment. 17-7 PH offers good corrosion resistance, though slightly less than 304 in very corrosive environments. This alloy maintains its mechanical properties at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C), making it great for applications that require high strength and dimensional stability.
