SS 202 Sheets and Plates consist of 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 7.5–10% manganese with a maximum of 0.15% carbon content. This austenitic stainless steel provides decent tensile strength (~515 MPa) and yield strength (~275 MPa), and its elongation is extremely good (~40%). The properties offer durable performance for fabrication and structural applications. It has a clean, shiny appearance and exhibits moderate corrosion resistance, appropriate for less aggressive conditions. It also boasts excellent formability, weldability, and work-hardening behavior, which are suitable for various applications.
