Ed Stainless Texas’s Stainless Steel 439 Sheets and Plates consist mainly of chromium (17–19%) with low carbon and added titanium for stabilization. This ferritic stainless steel shows good resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Mechanically, it has tensile strength of around 65 ksi (450 MPa), yield strength of 35 ksi (240 MPa), and satisfactory elongation at break. The high thermal conductivity and superior weldability of the alloy make it a great candidate for several forming and fabrication operations, with certain performance across high-temperature as well as corrosive applications.
